On July 2, 2025, the expert demonstration meeting on the service life of the disc-type scaffolding was successfully held in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province.
The demonstration expert group consisted of Lu Yijie, Honorary Chairman of the China Formwork Scaffolding Association, Gao Feng, Chairman of the Association, Jiang Chuanku, Vice Chairman of the Association and Director of the Expert Committee, Lin Bing, Director of the Association's Standards Committee, and Zhang Jianhua, General Manager of Shaanxi Taibo Intelligent Building Engineering Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Ma Lijun, Deputy Secretary-General and Chief Engineer, and the meeting elected Professor Jiang Chuanku as the team leader.
The expert group believes that the research team has carried out a lot of solid basic work in a short period of time, completed the destructive component experiments of a series of disc-type scaffolding products, and provided important data support. After sufficient questioning and discussion, a consensus was formed: (The following is an excerpt of the opinion)
1. The research team conducted research and analysis on products from different regions, different manufacturers, and different production dates, and accumulated a lot of data.
2. The corrosion rate of the galvanized layer of products in different use environments and use areas varies greatly, about 1~3μm per year. The normal service life of the product is related to the thickness of the galvanized layer, the use environment and the management level. According to relevant standards and the application years of domestic and foreign counterparts, the service life of the company's scaffolding products can exceed 20 years.
3. After discussion, experts believe that the scaffolding products owned by Wuxi Zhengfeng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., which have been identified as meeting the JG/T 503 standard, can have a service life of more than 20 years under relevant conditions. Experts also gave targeted suggestions to enterprises to strengthen use management, improve use, maintenance, and scrapping standards, and conduct regular sampling inspections and type tests.
