Another year has passed since the goal of building new houses into good houses and renovating old houses into good houses was set to be achieved. In 2025, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development planned the 15th Five-Year Plan, continuously promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and high-quality development, creating an upgraded version of "Made in China," and promoting five key areas: "good standards, good design, good building materials, good construction, and good operation and maintenance," so that "good houses" can be presented to consumers. In the new year, to achieve the goal of building new houses into good houses and renovating old houses into good houses, formwork and scaffolding play a crucial role in construction projects. Recently, a serious fire occurred on the bamboo scaffolding of the renovation project of Block 8, 31, in Hong Kong's Tai Po District, serving as a stark reminder to all construction workers engaged in residential construction in mainland China that the safety of formwork and scaffolding is paramount in the construction of good houses. Using tool-type hot-dip galvanized disc-lock steel pipe scaffolding combined with steel mesh as external scaffolding will become a new highlight of green construction in urban residential construction and old city renovation projects. Durable disc-lock steel pipe scaffolding will be further expanded from large city construction projects to small and medium-sized city construction projects. The revised standard JG/T503 "Socket-type Disc-lock Steel Pipe Scaffolding Components" was also promulgated in the new year, which put forward new requirements and methods for the strength testing of Q355 steel uprights.
